Today the Greek people have rejected austerity, rejected the continued destruction of the Greek working class and the continued demands of the Troika against the Greek people. The Greek people have suffered enough. Savage austerity cuts, the destruction of pensioners savings, the wholesale destruction of Greek higher education, the abandoning of the poor, the homeless and unemployed to their own devices as characterized in the previous New Democracy administration hopefully will soon end. This sends shock waves throughout all of Europe and indeed throughout the world.
